A palladium-catalyzed addition reaction of aroyl/heteroaroyl acid anhydrides to norbornenes.
A palladium complex derived from Pd2(dba)3 and dppp catalyzes the addition reaction of aroyl/heteroaroyl acid anhydrides to norbornenes, giving 2-aroyl/heteroaroyl-3-aroyloxy/heteroaroyloxy-bicyclo[2,2,1]heptanes. The C-O bond of acid anhydride is cleaved, and the aroyl/heteroaroyl and aroyloxy/heteroaroyloxy groups are added to alkenes. trans-Adducts are selectively obtained with the endo-benz...
متن کاملThe Permeability of Thin Lipid Membranes to Bromide and Bromine
Thin lipid (optically black) membranes were made from sheep red cell lipids dissolved in n-decane. The flux of Br across these membranes was measured by the use of tracer (82)Br. The unidirectional flux of Br (in 50-100 mM NaBr) was 1-3 x 10(-12) mole/cm(2)sec. This flux is more than 1000 times the flux predicted from the membrane electrical resistance (>10(8) ohm-cm(2)) and the transference nu...
متن کاملEffect of cyclodextrin complexation in bromine addition to unsymmetrical olefins: evidence for participation of cyclodextrin hydroxyl groups.
Multiple recognition by cyclodextrin in a bimolecular reaction, namely bromination of styrene, methyl cinnamate, phenylacetylene and allylbenzene, has been studied. Bromohydrin is obtained as a major product along with dibromide in the bromination of styrene and methyl cinnamate. The percentage of bromohydrin decreases as the cavity size increases. With phenylacetylene, bromophenylacetylene and...
متن کاملAddition of Ethyl Alcohol to Triethyl Propargyl Ammonium Bromide
Rearrangement of propargyl amine salt, in the presence of a base was studied and it was concluded that this occurs through an allenic intermediate.
متن کاملBromine in blood, EEG and transaminases in methyl bromide workers.
In 33 methyl bromide users, slight electroencephalographic changes (in 10 subjects) and a small increase in serum transaminases were found which could be related to bromine concentration in blood. No relationship was found with subjective symptoms, general neurological examination or the results of serum protein electrophoresis.
